Is Intravenous Nutrition right for you?
In a modern world, with modern stressors, we need a new modern medicine; one that can treat the nutritional depletion at the root cause of the chronic diseases of our day. I have found intravenous nutrition to be that treatment. More importantly, IV Nutrition Therapy can help the “walking unwell,” those suffering with obesity, fatigue, allergies, chronic pain and mood disorders. IV Nutrition Therapy promotes the vibrant well-being that we all seek.
In my 30 years in the practice of medicine I have searched for the best and safest ways to treat the most difficult conditions. Within the foundations of Western medicine there have been dramatic advances in technology, from surgery to medicines. They have helped to prolong life, yet due to their toxicity rarely do they promote life.
The “Middle Path” that I search for has taken me to IV Nutrition Therapy. I find this to be the perfect “blending” of two worlds. When the modern technology of safe intravenous practices allow traditional medicinals to reach a potency able to remedy modern illness, limitations of prior healing systems can be over come.
Our gastrointestinal tract severely limits the bioavailability of many nutrients. For example, levels of Vitamin C necessary to fight cancer and stimulate immune system function can only be reached via intravenous administration.
Many people may either rapidly eliminate or poorly assimilate certain nutrients from their systems, and many may not convert vitamins into active metabolites (the configuration that “gets the job done”). These factors can be overcome by intravenously administering the right “active” nutrients.
An increasing number of reports of severe magnesium depletion related to chronic antacid and diuretic therapies, B vitamin deficiencies related to diabetes, heart failure medications, and many other case histories are filling current medical literature.
Replenishing these nutrients can provide profound benefits in terms of energy levels, sleep quality, and musculoskeletal health. Treating drug-induced nutrient deficiencies may become a primary reason for prescribing IV Nutrition Therapy.
The roles, reasons and rationale for the use of the IV Nutrition Therapy expand daily. With the safety and efficacy proven through decades of experience, we step forward into a new era of the “intravenous prescription.”
