Hello! My name is Jessica Joslyn, PA-C. I moved to the area in 2011. I have a young daughter and a wonderful husband who is a local chef. Here is a little bit about my background:
I am a graduate of the Primary Care Associate Program at the Stanford University School of Medicine. While there, I did rotations in Family Practice, Pediatrics, OBGYN, and Surgery. My Family Practice rotations were in community clinics in San Francisco and Kern County where I saw a wide range of health issues and all types of people from every walk of life, especially under served and immigrants from all over the globe. My pediatric rotation was in Los Altos at a prestigious private practice; the doctor is a lactation specialist and focuses on children who were largely unvaccinated. My OB/GYN rotation was in San Jose in a community clinic where I provided quality care to future mothers who were under served. My Surgical Hospital rotations were by far my favorite; I was on the Liver & Kidney transplant teams at Stanford.
I have worked in medicine for the majority of my adult life, beginning at 16 years old as a Certified Nurses Assistant. From my 20s on I worked as a Certified Medical Assistant in many environments, including an OB/GYN office, a family practice clinic, and an alternative healthcare practice. While in PA school, I was a clinical assistant for an office called Stress Medicine Consulting where I was introduced to anti-aging, bio-identical hormone treatment and the wonderful world of supplements.
I worked as a Physician Assistant in Santa Maria and Orcutt prior to expanding my family. I realized that I wanted to be closer to home after she was born, and luckily for myself and my family, I have the opportunity to work at Middle Path Medicine with Gary E. Foresman, MD.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and helping you on your journey to health and healing!
